Senior Account Manager: Job Description

Agency H5’s Senior Account Manager will ideally have 4 plus years of relevant experience in the public relations space. Senior Account Managers are responsible for all aspects of a client relationship and account team. They must supervise multiple projects and team members. Other responsibilities include recommending programs and activities coordinating with clients’ goals, effectively delegating projects, offering counsel to team members and allocating agency resources to match client budgets. They are innovative, dynamic leaders who play a defining role with new business development, organic growth of existing clients, strategic program planning and the development of creative concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ability to develop strategies/creative platforms and concepts that simultaneously leverage traditional, digital and social media tactics for our clients
  • Develop and oversee development of media strategy documents, goals, media targets, pitch angles and media materials that are strong in both structure and AP style and require minimal input from senior team leadership
  • Demonstrate knowledge of top-tier traditional and social media outlets important to clients’ business
  • Showcase ability to deliver media relations results through client programming and client-appropriate relationships with relevant media
  • Generate ideas for media outreach and pitch efforts; implement special public relations events such as press conferences and media tours
  • Oversee monitoring of traditional media outlets for coverage of client news and competitor developments
  • Demonstrate ability to oversee effective social media monitoring and measurement to uncover both business and communication insights and opportunities
  • Serve as day-to-day client contact during program execution, establishing position as the client’s “go to” person in all matters related to program execution. Provide counsel and offer problem-solving solutions throughout program execution.
  • Assist senior team management through the development of client counsel memos and recommendations, as needed
  • Develop and deliver client meetings and presentations
  • Manage and oversee core program elements, keeping client programs on schedule and ensuring all deadlines and budget requirements are met
  • Account for quality control and client-ready review of all letters, memos, meeting reports and other press materials
  • Serve as day-to-day team leader who mentors account staff through direction, provides suggestions on issue resolution and identifies opportunities for team members’ professional development
  • Contribute to work plan of junior team members and mentor team members on processes and program execution

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in communications, marketing, journalism or related field
  • 4 or more years professional experience (beyond internship)
  • Relevant work experience with CPG and travel/hospitality industries is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including AP style
  • Expert knowledge of the media landscape to include traditional outlets/journalists, social media influencers and social media channels
  • Must be able to anticipate client and team needs, flag potential issues, multi-task, meet deadlines and proactively offer solutions
  • Specific hands-on experience with coordination of special event logistics, celebrity negotiations and vendor partners

Senior Manager, Social Media: Job Description

Agency H5’s Senior Manager, Social Media will ideally have 4 + years of relevant experience in the social media space. A successful person in this role will demonstrate an understanding of business objectives, the ever-changing world of social media and be able to both recommend and execute innovative strategies to deliver successful marketing and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing overarching social strategy aligned with client’s vision and include competitive research, platform determination, audience identification and messaging.
  • Educate internal H5 team on social media channel values and best practices.
  • Collaborate with H5 account teams to coordinate and amplify marketing campaigns in social.
  • Provide copywriting, image sourcing and creative support for social channel content.  Develop content by sourcing imagery, advising on photography needs, designing graphics and or managing appropriate creative resources to create content including video.
  • Ability to plan and execute paid social media campaigns and participate in evaluating success of paid strategy.
  • Maintain knowledge of key social media tools, best practices and emerging trends, including key platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
  • Must have deep understanding of digital management and monitoring tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Netbase, Sysomos etc.)
  • Must be skilled at all social media measurement/analytics tools to show ROI

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in marketing or related field
  • Understanding of digital marketing and the intersection with social media and PR
  • Deep social media expertise with experience in driving social media strategy and executing social media programs for an agency or client side. Agency experience preferred over corporate.
  • Specific hands-on experience with social marketing channels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be both strategic but also a hands-on practitioner that upholds the 5 core values of the firm and works closely hands-on with both social team and account teams

 

Senior Account Coordinator: Job Description

Agency H5’s Senior Account Coordinator will ideally have 2 plus years of relevant experience in the public relations space. A successful person in this role will be able to tactically implement multi-facet strategies and deliver successful outcomes that align with big picture goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong ability to identify newsworthy story angles, craft enticing pitches, conduct targeted outreach and secure national, local/regional and social media placements
  • Demonstrate management skills and assist account teams in maintaining daily client/partner contact communication
  • Collaborate with account teams to continuously generate smart ideas, pursue a facet of opportunities and draft thoughtful overview documents, media target lists and program recaps
  • Actively participate in program implementation and tactical execution, while also coaching junior team members to help develop their day-to-day skills
  • Support account teams in developing all-encompassing PR programs and provide strategic insight to align with client’s big picture goals
  • Manage special event logistics and oversee execution from start to finish, while also maintaining vendor relationships, developing documents (i.e. run of shows, timelines, shot lists, talking points, media alerts) and tracking expenses
  • Monitor traditional and social media outlets for client coverage
  • Stay informed on industry news and trends to regularly communicate key insights and opportunities for both the agency and clients

Social Media Coordinator: Job Description

Agency H5’s Social Media Coordinator will ideally have 1-2 years of experience in social media and/or digital marketing. A successful person in this role will be creative, forward-thinking, and organized. In this position, you will interact with targeted virtual communities to promote our client’s brand, products and services to new audiences through various online channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and more. You must be able to create consistent, meaningful content across all social media platforms and manage the presence of multiple clients at one time while keeping pace with industry trends and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with building and executing social media strategy through research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification
  • Create and maintain client social media pages and profiles
  • Develop social media marketing plans and editorial calendars; manage implementation of calendars across multiple client accounts and industries
  • Assist with copywriting, researching hashtags, image sourcing and creative support for social channel content for multiple client accounts and industries
  • Participate in the creative process to develop creative content that is relevant and engaging for our clients’ audiences
  • Set up optimized posts and execute social publishing daily
  • Ensure accuracy of scheduled content items and ongoing reporting of their performance
  • Create, observe and respond to conversations within the client’s community in a timely and strategic manner; respond appropriately based on company and community policies
  • Build meaningful connections and encourage community members through dialogue and strategic messaging
  • Assist with crisis management, bad reviews, and negative news communications
  • Track and analyze reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and campaign effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes
  • Should have some understanding of social media management and monitoring tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Netbase, Sysomos, etc.)
  • Monitor competitive landscape and develop insights reports to identify successes that can serve as a template for client accounts

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or related field
  • 1-2 years’ experience in social media and/or digital marketing
  • Strong familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Understanding of social media metrics; able to interpret the results and take action to increase effectiveness of social media campaigns
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with detailed organizational skills focused on results
  • Ability to juggle and be a multi-tasker
  • Knowledge of project management and/or agency experience preferred
