The stigma surrounding mental health has lifted substantially in the past 50 years and The Family Institute at Northwestern University has taken the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research to create better treatments that help strengthen and heal families, becoming a field leader in Chicagoland.

H5 stepped in to help The Family Institute usher in their 50th year of offering high-quality mental health counseling. Our targeted media relations strategy spanned both local and national outlets to build a solid foundation to kick off the 50th Anniversary programing. Leveraging select therapists with niche expertise, H5 secured more than 2.3 billion impressions in ten months and 100 top-tier media placements in outlets like The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, USA Today, Fortune, Business Insider, Self, Women’s Health, Bustle and more.

H5 also created a comprehensive executive positioning plan for Jana Jones, President and CEO of The Family Institute. Starting with thorough research and insight from Jones’ five identified professional peers, we developed key findings and topline opportunities for awards, recognitions, associations and speaking opportunities. H5 secured Jones’ inclusion as one of Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Women Executives Over 50, among consideration for other prominent awards to be determined and completed her membership proposal for the Economic Club of Chicago. While our efforts are still underway, Jones’ profile is on the rise, gaining influence as health leader and higher visibility in the Chicagoland area.
