Since H5’s founding, we have been honored to work with a long list of Chicagoland nonprofits making a difference in our own backyard. Our agency values work that also serves a greater purpose, a passion that’s reflected in our nonprofit partners’ missions to strengthen the local community.
To celebrate this work, we are spotlighting two incredible and long-standing H5 clients making a difference:
Over a Decade of Doing Good with Ronald McDonald House
Ronald McDonald House Charities Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana serves as a lifeline for families with ill or injured children and has made a profound impact by doing so for almost 50 years. H5 has had the joy of being a part of this legacy, working with Ronald McDonald House for over 14 years.
The H5 team works with Ronald McDonald House to bring awareness to the crucial role the organization plays and encourage others to get involved. Over the course of our partnership, we have led various media relations initiatives highlighting their projects including brand-new facilities like the Ronald McDonald House at Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women’s Hospital, the Family Room at Advocate Children’s Hospital and an all-new kitchen and dining room at the original Lurie House. And of course, we cherish the opportunity to spotlight the stories of incredible families whose lives have been positively changed by the organization.
As Ronald McDonald House has evolved its positioning over the years, we have also focused on executive visibility and thought leadership strategies to position the organization as a pillar of a family’s overall healthcare journey. We also foster community relations by giving kudos to standout volunteers – like the longest serving volunteer of over 45 years!
Our work with Ronald McDonald House is deeply rewarding and we are so excited to welcome the organization into its 50th year in 2027.
Sweet Success of Girl Scout Cookie Season
Another long-standing partner impacting the lives of young people is the Girls Scouts of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana (GCNWI). Girl Scouts GCNWI is vital to strengthening girls’ confidence and moxie to go after their goals. As a female-owned and led agency, this mission hits home for us and continues to fuel us to do great work.
One of the Girl Scouts’ most well-known programs is, of course, Cookie Season – an annual initiative that the H5 team looks forward to supporting every year. Each box of cookies sold represents an investment in the future of girls, and the program allows participants to learn and practice critical business and life skills first-hand.
As part of our earned media strategies, H5 leads storytelling and message development that highlights notable Girl Scouts, amplifies the Cookie Season mission and features Troop Leaders who are making a difference. The season is so special to us that an H5 team member’s daughter was even featured on a local segment to talk about the season’s kick-off and new flavor!
The H5 team also coordinated a fan-favorite partnership with PAWS Chicago during National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend. Local Girl Scouts donated their time organizing food, folding laundry and interacting with animals in exchange for a community service badge and feel-good afternoon. Media loved it too, as the partnership between the two beloved nonprofits resulted in earned coverage across multiple local broadcast stations.
Kindness is Key
Kindness and community are at the core of everything we do at H5, and we are proud to work with extraordinary organizations that share the same values, especially Ronald McDonald House Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana and Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana who remind us why our work matters.
