CIM Group/Golub & Company transformed the world-renowned and architecturally distinctive Tribune Tower at 435 N. Michigan Avenue. The former home of the Chicago Tribune daily newspaper is now Tribune Tower Residences, boasting 162 luxury condominium homes, 47,000 square feet of retail, top-tier resident amenities and other distinctive features. The redevelopment proudly preserved more than 90% of the original structure and its historical artifacts.
Golub & Company engaged H5 in 2019, to generate awareness among consumers and potential buyers through several marketing methods, including a sales gallery which was located at 401 N. Michigan Avenue, as well as through earned media efforts and partnership engagement.
THE ASK
Generate awareness among consumers and potential buyers for the 162 luxury condominium homes at the world-renowned and architecturally distinctive Tribune Tower at 435 N. Michigan Avenue.

APPROACH
Through several integrated methods, including a sales gallery located at 401 N. Michigan Avenue, as well as earned media efforts targeting top-tier media outlets, H5 leveraged the historic significance of the Tribune Tower and the impressive redevelopment to secure media interest and entice luxury buyers. H5 also hosted intimate events and tours for high profile community and civic organizations throughout Chicago to provide an inside look at what luxury living is like inside the historic and distinctive building.
RESULTS
- Units Sold: 90% of the building’s 162 units have been sold to date.
- Media Attention: Earned more than 85 media placements in national and trade, regional and local broadcast and print outlets; generating 350 million media impressions among the Chicagoland area.
- Partner Engagement: H5 has hosted intimate events and tours for more than three dozen high profile community, non-profit, civic organizations and select Chicago business groups to date at the building to expand awareness among potential targeted buyers.
